Tenth anniversary London Flamenco Festival 2013
This year sees the tenth anniversary festival, with Sadler’s Wells again being the main location. Among this year’s performers are Eva Yerbabuena, Estrella Morente, Lenacay and…. Tomatito. Bros guitars launch event
On 8th September at 7:30pm, at The Music Room in Sandy, Bedfordshire, we put on a launch event with tapas, sangría and flamenco music in order to promote our range of Bros flamenco and classical guitars. Ramón Ruíz gave a short recital and tried out our guitars, which he pronounced “buenas” and very good value for money
The audience were treated to flamenco renditions of popular tunes as well as some standard repertoire brought to life with typical passion and attention to detail by Ramón.
Paco Peña Flamenco Dance Company — Quimeras
From 23 Nov 2012 to 1 Dec 2012 at Sadler’s Wells Theatre in London, legendary guitarist, composer, dramatist and producer Paco Peña presents his 2010 work Quimeras, directed by Southbank Centre artistic director Jude Kelly. Exploring the lure of travel and the dream of a better life, Quimeras tells the story of a group of migrants who have come to Spain from Africa in search of work. Details here

Portsmouth to host flamenco show
International dance company Canción Gitana are bringing their show “Lament for Lorca” to Portamouth in June. Lorca was one of the greatest 20th century poets and playwrights and was murdered at the start of the Spanish Civil War in 1936. The show takes place on June 27th in the Menuhin Theatre. Viaje al Reencuentro
Jesús Olmedo and Jorge Bravo are bringing a new flamenco show “Viaje al Reencuentro” to London’s Peña Flamenca at the Costa Dorada Spanish Restaurant, Hanway Street, London W1T 1UX on Sunday 13th May. Tickets are £12 (£7 for members). You can find further information here
61st International Festival of Music and Dance, Granada
June 22nd 2012 sees the start of the 2012 international festival with performances from some of Spain’s most influential artists and a number of renowned international acts. Further details can be found here and tickets can be bought here.
Carlos Saura in London
One of Spain’s most influential directors is giving a masterclass in London on Thursday 19th April at the Ciné Lumière (17 Queensberry Place, London, SW7 2DT). This forms part of the Spanish Film Festival Spring Weekend which, along with the masterclass, you can find out about here.
Eduardo Niebla in London
Flamenco jazz fusion guitarist Eduardo Niebla is appearing at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in the SouthBank Centre in London on Friday 20th April. Tickets are available from the Southbank Centre website here
